This page outlines the procedure for submitting a DMCA takedown notice or a counter-notification.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content available on BIZ.BIO infringes your copyrighted work, you may submit a written DMCA notice containing all of the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are involved)
  2. Identification of the allegedly infringing material, including the specific URL(s) on BIZ.BIO where the material appears
  3. Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

Incomplete or improperly submitted notices may not be processed.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that material you submitted to BIZ.BIO was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification must include:

  1. Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal
  2. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  3. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  4. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and agreeing to accept service of process from the original complaining party
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a court action within the timeframe required by law.

Repeat Infringement Policy

BIZ.BIO reserves the right to terminate or restrict access for contributors or users who are determined to be repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion.

Misrepresentation Notice

Please note that submitting false or misleading DMCA notices or counter-notifications may result in legal liability under applicable laws. We reserve the right to seek damages and other remedies in cases of abuse or bad-faith claims.
